About Mia

I am a food-loving Registered Dietitian in Austin, Texas. I am passionate and dedicated to my work with clients as a nutrition therapist, and believe that every body is entitled to compassionate care, autonomy, and nourishment.

I earned both a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. I have a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies as well, also from UT, and as you can see, I love to learn. I am experienced in working in a variety of treatment centers and professional settings: eating disorder specialized practices, treatment centers, and hospitals. Furthermore, I have experience in providing general wellness coaching, food service, culinary instruction, and nutrition education for children.

I wholeheartedly believe that food is for nourishment and enjoyment, not just for fuel. I also understand that it can be challenging to approach food from a pleasure perspective in eating disorder recovery, and have worked with many clients who need to take things very slow. Regardless of where you are on your recovery journey, I am here to listen, to learn from you, and when you're ready, guide you towards your recovery goals. My hope is that I will be a trusted source of care, education, and support for you, and that we will collaboratively work together to heal your relationship with food and your body.

I approach nutrition therapy from anti-diet, weight-inclusive, Intuitive Eating, HAES-aligned, and all-food-fit perspectives. I welcome you to share your own goals and perspectives with me.

I would be honored to work with you to provide personalized nutrition guidance and care while adapting to all of life’s ups, downs, and roundabouts.
