About Hailee
I am a registered dietitian in Austin Texas, with over 5 years of experience working with eating disorders. I have worked all levels of eating disorder care; inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and now outpatient. I am committed to helping individuals find peace and joy not only with food but with themselves.
I have worked with individuals of all ages with varying eating disorder diagnoses and co-occurring conditions. Through trauma informed care my goal is to create a safe and warm environment to begin the work towards recovery. I try to honor individual capacity and needs as it relates to nourishment. I believe in collaborating with a client in conjunction with providing evidenced based nutrition recommendations.
I have extensive experience working with families and eating disorders. As a caretaker it can be extremely difficult to know the “right thing” to say or do when trying to support a loved one. Through nutrition counseling sessions I love to see family’s confidence and knowledge increase leading to more peaceful eating experiences at home.
My nutrition philosophy is rooted in the principals found in HAES®, intuitive eating, weight inclusivity and food neutrality. In sessions, I love to break the stereotype of what a dietitian is by encouraging food autonomy, adding laughter and play to food, providing individualized recommendations vs. a “one size fits all” nutrition script, and above all treating clients with compassion and respect. Choosing a provider is not an easy task but I would be honored to begin working with you!
